Best Après Ski in Teton Valley

The best way to unwind after a day skiing at Grand Targhee Resort, or cross-country skiing in Teton Valley, is to spend some time relaxing après-ski style! Après ski is a French term that literally means “after ski” or “after skiing.” When it comes to after-ski offerings, here in Driggs and Victor we’ve got bars and restaurants of all different kinds so you can find exactly what you need. Whether you’re looking for a large, sunny mountainside view, an intimate space, or something good for a large group and lots of rowdy fun, our ski towns have the perfect offering to fit your mood.

Grand Targhee Ski Resort

One of the many reasons skiers love Grand Targhee is the variety of dining options on-site that let you après just steps from the slopes. The top two places for after-ski food and drink are The Trap and Powder Cache.

  • The Trap Bar & Grill: Pull up a chair and grab some grub at what many locals consider as their official after-ski watering hole. When your stomach tells you that it’s après o’clock, head to The Trap for local beers on tap, wings, burgers, “world-famous” nachos, and a laidback, local vibe.
  • Powder Cache Bar & Grill: If you’re having so much fun that you ski through happy hour and are looking for more hearty fare for your après dining, check out the Powder Cache. With incredible views, excellent service, and deliciously inspired high-end comfort food, the Powder Cache Bar & Grill is one of the best-kept dining venues in Teton Valley and a great location for relaxing after a day on the slopes.

Forage Bistro at Warbirds Lounge (Driggs)

Just down the hill from Grand Targhee at the Driggs airport is Forage Bistro at Warbirds Lounge, offering great happy hour deals on local draft beers, house wines, charcuteries and more. Their “Bottles and Board” special in the afternoons is especially popular and a great way to unwind.

O’Rourke’s Sports Bar & Grill (Driggs)

Got a big group of friends or family and ready for some fun after-ski times? Then O’Rourke’s Sports Bar & Grill might be the spot for you. Be sure to ask about their ski-shots, a ski with multiple shot glasses on it that is a perfect opportunity for some hilarious photos and lots of laughs. O’Rourke’s is on the main street when you’ve coming back to Driggs from Grand Targhee and is a casual bar-and-grill with good food, friendly service, a full bar, and a fun place to hang out.

Westside Yard (Victor)

A popular restaurant/bar and entertainment destination located in Victor (just across the street from the always popular Big Hole BBQ restaurant), Westside Yard is another great spot for apres-ski eats and drinks. If you’ve been skiing with the kids, in addition to a full bar featuring local brews and specialty cocktails, there is also a kid’s game room, and a menu that will satisfy all.

Knotty Pine Supper Club (Victor)

A traditional log-cabin style bar and restaurant, Knotty Pine is an après-anything staple in Teton Valley for drinks, food, and entertainment with live music later in the evenings throughout the winter ski season. Located on the main street in Victor, Knotty Pine is known for their local craft brews, signature cocktails, family-friendly entrees, and friendly staff.
