#1: Forage Bistro at Warbirds

A truly great spot for parents and children alike is Forage Bistro at Warbirds Lounge. Located in the Driggs airport just north of downtown, Forage at Warbirds is a great spot with the best of everything. Fine dining and cocktails are on the menu, alongside what was recently voted Best Burger in Teton Valley and other kid-friendly menu items. In warm weather ask to sit outside on the terrace where you will have panoramic views of the Teton mountain range while the kids watch private planes arrive and depart as you all enjoy your meal. Best yet, after finishing your dinner, take the family on a stroll through the adjacent free Warbirds Airplane Museum. Inside you’ll see a collection of vintage planes and local information that will interest all ages. 

#2: Tatanka Tavern

A fun place for pizza in Driggs is Tatanka Pizza. Look for the buffalo overlooking the main square of downtown Driggs and you’ll find Tatanka Pizza inside that building on the 3rd floor. Kids will love that you can see the pizzas cooking in the large brick oven. The menu features appetizers, salads and pizza and the bar features many local brews. In warm weather you can sit on the deck outside and watch the sunset reflecting on the Teton mountain range. #3: Brakeman Grill

Arrive early to put your name in, as this place is often busy. But don’t worry if you have to wait. The Brakeman’s location in the heart of Victor is perfect for taking a short walk or doing some quick shopping at the Victor Emporium next door. You can even head back over after your burger, if you have room, for the Emporium’s famous huckleberry shake, made with ice cream from Farr Candy Co. in Idaho Falls and fresh local huckleberries.

#4: Big Hole BBQ

With locations in both Jackson, Wyoming and here in Victor, Idaho, Big Hole BBQ is famous for its slow-smoked barbeque, local brews, and classic fixin’ bbq lovers want. The restaurant in Victor features roof-top dining seasonally, which is always fun with kids and adults for the great 360-degree views of Teton, Big Hole and Palisades mountain ranges all around.  The menu features classics like smoked chicken and ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and burnt ends. There are also salads, sandwiches, burgers and tacos for variety. A popular place for locals and visitors, Big Hole can get busy. Open for lunch and dinner, and with seating outside, on the main level, and on the roof, there’s plenty of space. If you find yourself waiting for a table, the convenient location in downtown Victor means you can easily browse through neighboring shops and the small local market next door as you wait.
