Flying to Teton Valley, Idaho
JACKSON HOLE AIRPORT (JAC)
Located roughly 35 miles away from Teton Valley, Jackson Hole Airport is the most convenient option for commercial flights offering direct flights from major cities via Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta, and United Airlines. Jackson Hole Airport is famous not just for the breathtaking views you’ll see out the window as you arrive, but as the only commercial airport within national park boundaries (Grand Teton National Park). Onsite car rental companies at Jackson Hole Airport include Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National.
IDAHO FALLS REGIONAL AIRPORT (IDA)
Idaho Falls Regional Airport is the next closest commercial airport, less than a 90-minute drive from Teton Valley, offering flights with Allegiant, Delta, United, Alaska Airlines, and American Airlines. Rental cars are available onsite with Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz and National. The drive from Idaho Falls to Teton Valley is filled with iconic scenes of rolling farmland, vibrant canola fields in bloom, the winding Snake River, and elk, eagles, deer, moose, osprey, trumpeter swans and more to entertain you along the way.
DRIGGS-REED MEMORIAL AIRPORT (KDIJ)
The Driggs-Reed Memorial Airport is a private airport that operates year-round and is home to a variety of aircraft including corporate and private jets, turboprops, helicopters, multi-engines, and single engines. Services include on–site rental cars through Hertz, full-service FBO Teton Aviation, the Warbirds Museum, and fine-dining restaurant Forage Bistro & Lounge, open for lunch and dinner.
Driving to Teton Valley, Idaho
If you’re driving to Teton Valley, you can count on jaw-dropping scenery and lots of “stop, I need to get a picture of that!” moments.
- From Jackson Hole, take WY-22 over the iconic Teton Pass where it turns into ID-33 and takes you right into the south end of the valley, approx. 35 miles total.
- From Idaho Falls, there are two routes you can take into Teton Valley. Both are about the same distance and equally beautiful to travel. Be sure to check road conditions before you choose.
- Northern route: Take US-20 East through Rexburg, turning East onto ID-33, which will take you through Tetonia and into Driggs.
- Southern route: Take US-26 to Swan Valley, then turn East onto ID-31 that will take you through the Pine Creek Pass and into Victor.

Public Transportation in Teton Valley, Idaho
START Bus System
The Teton County Public Bus Service (known as the START bus) provides service between Teton Valley and Jackson Hole, to Teton Village and all around Jackson Hole. Within the town of Jackson there is no charge for bus rides. One-way from Jackson to Teton Village is $3 (age 8 and under free with adult). Jackson to Star Valley or Teton Valley is $8 (age 13 and under half price).
Grand Targhee Shuttle
The Targhee Shuttle offers daily service between Grand Targhee Resort and Teton Valley, providing passengers with bike, ski, and snowboard racks. You can park and ride at Driggs Transit Center and at the 5th Street Skate Park. There are also shuttle stops through the rest of the valley, including at Music in Main (summer), Teton Valley Resort, and Powder Valley. They have a handy app you can download to track the shuttle, and lots more info at their website here.
